18 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.
Revelation 22:7
7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.
Matthew 24:23-25
23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him.
24 “For false Christ’s and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
25 “Behold, I have told you in advance.
Deuteronomy 13:1-5
1 “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder,
2 and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’
3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 “You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.
5 “But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk So you shall purge the evil from among you.
Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.
Isaiah 41:22-24
22 “Let them try to tell us what happened long ago so that we may consider the evidence. Or let them tell us what the future holds, so we can know what’s going to happen.
23 Yes, tell us what will occur in the days ahead. Then we will know you are gods. In fact, do anything—good or bad! Do something that will amaze and frighten us.
24 But no! You are less than nothing and can do nothing at all. Those who choose you pollute themselves.
Isaiah 42:8-9
8 “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols.
9 Everything I prophesied has come true, and now I will prophesy again. I will tell you the future before it happens.”
Proverbs 28:6-12
6 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, Than he who is crooked though he be rich.
7 He who keeps the law is a discerning son, But he who is a companion of gluttons humiliates his father.
8 He who increases his wealth by interest and usury Gathers it for him who is gracious to the poor.
9 He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
10 He who leads the upright astray in an evil way Will himself fall into his own pit, But the blameless will inherit good.
11 The rich man is wise in his own eyes, But the poor who has understanding sees through him.
12 When the righteous triumph, there is great glory, But when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.
Proverbs 27:1
1 Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.
2 Peter 1:20-21
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
Jeremiah 23:21-40
21 “I did not send these prophets, But they ran. I did not speak to them, But they prophesied.
22 “But if they had stood in My council, Then they would have announced My words to My people, And would have turned them back from their evil way And from the evil of their deeds.
23 “Am I a God who is near,” declares the LORD, “And not a God far off?
24 “Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?” declares the LORD “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.
25 “I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream!’
26 “How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, even these prophets of the deception of their own heart,
27 who intend to make My people forget My name by their dreams which they relate to one another, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal?
28 “The prophet who has a dream may relate his dream, but let him who has My word speak My word in truth, What does straw have in common with grain?” declares the LORD.
29 “Is not My word like fire?” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock?
30 “Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the LORD, “who steal My words from each other.
31 “Behold, I am against the prophets,” declares the LORD, “who use their tongues and declare, ‘The Lord declares.’
32 “Behold, I am against those who have prophesied false dreams,” declares the LORD, “and related them and led My people astray by their falsehoods and reckless boasting; yet I did not send them or command them, nor do they furnish this people the slightest benefit,” declares the LORD.
33 “Now when this people or the prophet or a priest asks you saying, ‘What is the oracle of the LORD?’ then you shall say to them, ‘What oracle?’ The LORD declares, ‘I will abandon you.’
34 “Then as for the prophet or the priest or the people who say, ‘The oracle of the LORD,’ I will bring punishment upon that man and his household.
35 “Thus will each of you say to his neighbor and to his brother, ‘What has the LORD answered?’ or, ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
36 “For you will no longer remember the oracle of the LORD, because every man’s own word will become the oracle, and you have perverted the words of the living God, the LORD of hosts, our God.
37 “Thus you will say to that prophet, ‘What has the LORD answered you?’ and, ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
38 “For if you say, ‘The oracle of the LORD!’ surely thus says the LORD, ‘Because you said this word, “The oracle of the LORD!” I have also sent to you, saying, “You shall not say, ‘The oracle of the LORD!”
39 “Therefore behold, I will surely forget you and cast you away from My presence, along with the city which I gave you and your fathers.
40 “I will put an everlasting reproach on you and an everlasting humiliation which will not be forgotten.”
Mark 13:21-23
21 “And then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ‘; or, ‘Behold, He is there‘; do not believe him;
22 for false Christ’s and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
23 “But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance.
Jeremiah 14:14-18
14 Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds.
15 “Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them–yet they keep saying, ‘There will be no sword or famine in this land’–by sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end!
16 “The people also to whom they are prophesying will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and there will be no one to bury them–neither them, nor their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters–for I will pour out their own wickedness on them.
17 “You will say this word to them, ‘Let my eyes flow down with tears night and day, And let them not cease; For the virgin daughter of my people has been crushed with a mighty blow, With a sorely infected wound.
18 “If I go out to the country, Behold, those slain with the sword! Or if I enter the city, Behold, diseases of famine! For both prophet and priest, Have gone roving about in the land that they do not know.”
Ezekiel 13:1-8
1 Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,
2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own inspiration, Listen to the word of the LORD!
3 ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe to the foolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have seen nothing.
4 “O Israel, your prophets have been like foxes among ruins.
5 “You have not gone up into the breaches, nor did you build the wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the day of the LORD.
6 “They see falsehood and lying divination who are saying, ‘The LORD declares,’ when the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope for the fulfillment of their word.
7 “Did you not see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, ‘The LORD declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?”‘”
8 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen a lie, therefore behold, I am against you,” declares the Lord GOD.

28 “Her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,’ when the LORD has not spoken.

15 The head is the elder and honorable man, And the prophet who teaches falsehood is the tail.
16 For those who guide this people are leading them astray; And those who are guided by them are brought to confusion.
Jeremiah 5:26-31
26 ‘For wicked men are found among My people, They watch like fowlers lying in wait; They set a trap, They catch men.
27 ‘Like a cage full of birds, So their houses are full of deceit; Therefore they have become great and rich.
28 ‘They are fat, they are sleek, They also excel in deeds of wickedness; They do not plead the cause, The cause of the orphan, that they may prosper; And they do not defend the rights of the poor.
29 ‘Shall I not punish these people?’ declares the LORD, ‘On a nation such as this, Shall I not avenge Myself?‘
30 “An appalling and horrible thing, Has happened in the land:
31 The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule on their own authority; And My people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it?
Jeremiah 6:12-14
12 “Their houses shall be turned over to others, Their fields and their wives together; For I will stretch out My hand, Against the inhabitants of the land,” declares the LORD.
13 “For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely.
14 “They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, ‘Peace, peace, But there is no peace.
Matthew 7:14-16
14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
Matthew 24:10-12
10 “At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.
11″Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

Luke 6:25-26
25 “Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
26 “Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.
2 Peter 2:1-3
1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;
3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
